Unit, Chapter, & Lodge Support

Resources dedicated to the support of unit, chapter, and lodge programs. These resources are continually updated for youth leaders and adult advisers.

Performance Measurement Program

In 2019, the Performance Measurement Program replaced the Journey to Excellence (JTE) program.

Link

The Order of the Arrow’s Link program begins with the OA’s Journey to Excellence program, choosing three JTE metrics and packaging tools into comprehensive training programs that lodges can use to improve in those metrics.

Lodge Ideas & Best Practices

These best practices, chapter meeting ideas, service ideas, and adviser minutes were submitted by Arrowmen across the country who have benefited from both years of experience and trial and error. By sharing these resources, these Arrowmen hope to share the wisdom they have gained over the ages.

Lodge Program Resource Videos

The National Committee of the Order of the Arrow has developed various video tools to assist lodges in the delivery of the OA program. All videos are saved in sufficient quality for lodges to use in presentations or unit promotions.

OA Camp Coordinator

The OA Camp Coordinator, or OACC, is an Arrowman who cheerfully serves both the camp and the lodge during the summer. Responsible for the various lodge programs at camp, the OACC is the go-to person for all Order of the Arrow related questions.

OA Eagle Scout Congratulatory Letter

The national chief and national vice chief want to recognize each new Eagle Scout on their great accomplishment. The letter is intended for all Scouts and not just Arrowmen.

OA Summit Award Congratulatory Letter

The national chief and national vice chief want to recognize each new Summit Award recipient on their great accomplishment. The letter is intended for all Venturers and not just Arrowmen.

OA Quartermaster Congratulatory Letter

The national chief and national vice chief want to recognize each new Quartermaster on their great accomplishment. The letter is intended for all Sea Scouts and not just Arrowmen.

OA Grace

The OA Grace is appropriate for a moment of reverence and thanks before meals at OA events.

OA Unit of Excellence Award

The Order of the Arrow Unit of Excellence Award seeks to identify those units, and the leaders within them, who excel at incorporating the OA into their annual planning. This award is intended to provide a tool for lodges to recognize, incentivize, and operationalize unit-level participation in Order of the Arrow programs.

OA Unit Representative

The OA unit representative program strengthens ties between the unit and chapter/lodge, as well as upholding the primary duty of an Arrowman - to their unit.
